Thoughts, Beliefs, Words, and Actions: How Being More Mindful Can Change Your Reality

Updated: Apr 28

We have many conscious and unconscious thoughts, beliefs, words, and actions that shape our reality. It can be easy to get caught up in our daily lives, routines and upsets and forget to take a step time daily to be mindful of our thoughts, beliefs, words, and actions. Being mindful of these things will have a powerful impact on the way we experience life and can even change our reality.

First, it’s important to be mindful of our thoughts and even how our body feels or responds to these thoughts. Thoughts are powerful and can shape our beliefs and actions which can lead to calm or upset. By being mindful of our thoughts, we can become aware of any negative or unhelpful thoughts that may be limiting to us. We can then choose to replace those thoughts with more positive and helpful ones. Doing so can be empowering and can help us to create a reality that is more in line with our goals and desires.

One practice that I use is to do hourly check-ins with my body. Am I at ease? Are my shoulders up by my ears or relaxed? Then I take a deep breath in, hold it and whoosh it out blowing any stuck stress out.

Second, our beliefs are powerful and can shape our reality. Depending on what we believe, our thoughts and actions will follow. For example, if we believe that we are not capable of achieving something, then we’ll likely act in a way that reflects that belief. But if we believe that we can do it, then we’ll be more likely to take the necessary steps to make it happen. Thus, it’s important to be mindful of our beliefs and to challenge any beliefs that may be limiting us.

For example, when I started presenting to large groups, I was experiencing great nervousness and found that my voice would quiver. This autonomic response became engrained in me causing even more stress and strain. Finally, I started to visual and see myself as Wonder Woman standing confidently and comfortably in front of groups, and it worked to calm and ease my stress.

Third, our words can also have an impact on our reality. Our words can have a powerful effect on others, and also on ourselves. By being mindful of our words and using them intentionally with kindness and compassion, we can create positive relationships, both with ourselves and with others. We can also use our words to create a reality that is more in line with our goals and desires.

I dare you to try this quick experiment with me. Say the words: DUMB, FOOL, MISTAKE, WORTHLESS and GROSS. How do you feel? Really bad! Now say: INCREDIBLE, LIGHT, EASE, CONTENT and COMPASSION. How do you feel? I know that I feel like a million bucks ready for anything!

Finally, our actions are the physical manifestation of our thoughts, beliefs, and words. By being mindful of our actions and taking steps that are aligned with our goals and desires, we can create a reality that is more in line with what we want. We can also use our actions as a way to manifest our dreams and goals. I promise from experience that this formula works.

In conclusion, by being mindful of our thoughts, beliefs, words, and actions, we can create a reality that is more in line with what we want. We can become aware of any negative or unhelpful thoughts that might be limiting us and choose to replace them with more positive and helpful ones. We can also challenge any beliefs that may be limiting us and use our words and actions to create a reality that is more in line with our goals and desires. Doing so can be empowering and can truly change our reality. Our thoughts are like the Lasso of Truth--we have the power to manifest our words and beliefs into reality and become our own Wonder Woman of our destiny.
